Francisco Hutten Czapski, myself, and Valeska Canoletti got married back in Brazil in 2000 and moved to Canada. Pedro was born in July 2004, eleven months after, George and Naya, the twins were born, hahaha.
My first fathers day I was father of tree, instant family I normally joke.
The delay on the twins speech made us wanted to check up, and in 2007 a diagnose of autism was confirmed.
Autism is a spectrum, shows it self differently in people, from severe 10 to the unrecognized 0.
I would say that George must be around 3 to 5 and Naya 1 to 3.
It is hard to tell how much they got because the diagnose of Autism it is based in behavior, social skills and language not a physical or quimical test.
   What is important is

WE RUN AGAINS THE TIME. THE EARLIER THEY RECEIVE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT, THE BETTER THEIR PROGNOSIS.

George is doing 4 to 6 hours of therapy per week and his improvement is  noticeable and amazing, I ask myself how much will he grow when doing the proper 40 to 60 hours per week needed.
So, that's way we are here, raising money, to give them a hand, to grow, to talk and to catch up with the other kids.

Thanks for given us a helping hand, I promise we will pay it forward.

Receiving a diagnostic of Autism was devastating!!!! No one expects to have a child with developmental disability.
In the other hand, was a relief to have a label for my children symptoms. The diagnosis is important because it can open the doors to many services, and help parents learn about the treatments that have benefited similar children.
Strong emotions also motivate me to find effective help for my children.
The most important point we want make is that George and Naya have the potential to grow and improve. We need to find effective therapy, treatments and education for them AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Their progress though life will likely be slower than others, but they can still live happy and productive lives.

The treatment for a child with AUTISM is approximately 70 mil dollars per year.
Unfortunately we don’t have all this money available. Even if we had we still have to do it times 2. For this reason I created The George Naya Foundation, just to try to raise the money and be able to start the treatment for the twins.
   I need HELP!!!
I don’t want my children be normal...Who is??
I just want them to be able to feel happy or sad, but at least they can have FEELINGS.
Be able to say: YES or NO. But be able to SPEAK.
That they have need for people, but because they need the RELANTIONSHIP.
That they are able to laugh or cry, but because they understand the REASON.
That they have OPTIONS, but also are able to have a PREFERENCES.
That they be able to DREAM, but also to ACHIEVE.
I just want them to be ABLE to HAVE A LIFE A HISTORY...and one day to be able to TELL iT.

"If they don’t know yet what causes AUTISM, they cannot say it doesn’t have a cure!!!

From then on my faith in God filled me with hope and made me believe in the solidarity of the human being, which made me certain that together we will be able to give these children the chance to be part of society, to have the basic skills for an independent life.
I love my children very much and maybe only GOD or another MOTHER can understand what this feeling means.
I will do what needs to be done, I won’t be embarrassed to ask for help.
I know in my heart that it only depends on us, and if today there is a treatment that will make a difference, they will have it!
Now all we need is the money and for this I am counting on everyone’s help..      The amount doesn’t matter, but I want to stress that this small act will be changing my children’s lives for the better, it will help me win this race against time.

“AND IF THEY CAN’T COME INTO OUR WORLD, WE WILL INVADE THEIRS..!!!”

I may never be able to express in words how thankful I am, from the bottom of my heart.

   THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
